Meet your Celebrants
I’m Zillah James, an Independent Celebrant who loves listening to a good story, and I want to tell your story. I want to work with you to create the most beautiful ceremony for you and your loved one. This could be a love story for your wedding or vow renewal, meaningful words for a life well lived for a loved ones funeral or the welcoming and joyous celebration of a naming ceremony. Together we can create a script that encapsulates the essence of your story and your love. I consider myself warm and welcoming. I am most definitely a people person. There's nothing better than a good chat and a cuppa (or a glass of something!).
In a previous life I was a Nursery Teacher, another joyous role that I thoroughly enjoyed. I have been married for over 30 years and have an adult son and a fabulous daughter in law. I also have co ownership of two cheeky terriers. When not working I like nothing more than catching up with friends, travelling, and reading a good book. Preferably all three together! I live in luscious Suffolk, but I am very happy to travel to wherever your special occasion is taking place.

I'm Vanessa Wood, an Independent Celebrant, I am enthusiastic about applying my diverse skill set to crafting personalised ceremonies. Whether it's a wedding, vow renewal, naming ceremony, or funeral, my goal is to collaborate with you in creating a distinctive and meaningful ceremony that leaves a lasting impression on you and your loved ones.
With the majority of my professional career dedicated to education, I bring a wealth of experience as a seasoned public speaker, having served as a Head Teacher for many years. I am committed to this role and I've undertaken training with the Celebrants Collective. I pride myself on being an attentive listener, possessing a calm demeanour, exhibiting patience and kindness, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
